D'Arcy J Sallion

Redefining vision through tactile mixed media art using recycled materials

As seen on Landscape Artist of the Year
Art you can feel

As a visually impaired artist, D’Arcy Sallion creates textured, multi-sensory experiences from discarded materials, breathing new life into what others might overlook. His sustainable practice celebrates the beauty of imperfection and invites viewers to reconsider their relationship with the environment.

For D’Arcy, art serves as a refuge from the digital world of crashing computers and viruses, a tangible way to connect with the earth and express creativity through touch and texture.

D’Arcy’s texture is unique, made with recycled waste materials such as recycled plastic, style foam, garden moss, fake fur and PVA glue in a sculpted display on canvas. It brings uniqueness to his paintings, Using this texture technique allows for many layers of colour within colour.
